Thanks for the cool pics.
It was an awesome ride with some super amazing tracks.  Spending time on tracks like those just makes one want to ride more and more.

Definitely! We must ride the Renosterkop loop as well as the tracks North of Brits soon!

Ons moes bietjie wag vir die reen vandag, en het koud by die huis gekom, maar demmit dit was n lekker run

I was thinking the same thing  :laughing4:

My wife wasn’t too happy about coolant and hydraulic fluid that ended up on the covers......[emoji48]

No idea why.....  :imaposer:

I once had the same nut come loose in the bush in Tanzania - and I had to remove the hard-luggage frames to get to the one cap-screw, took me many hours under a tree..... However that XT500 is still running with the same clutch.......

[member=13465]Sheepman[/member], the foutjie is tongue in the cheek. I am known to be a boxer fan, but then the RC8 happened and since then a 525 also. Buying a KTM was one of the few things I never saw coming :lol8: :lol8: The RC8 is a powerful machine and probably the bike for which the 1190 motor was made for. Not the most comfortable ride compared to the 1200S, but that would not be the best comparison. Rest is insane and way out of my talent. :lol8: The RC8 is a race bike which did not do well at all on the track, so its a nice something in the middle.

Thanks for the response Vaalbaas and I am glad its not a bike related issue  :thumleft: I have been following the RC8's keenly since they started to compete in the battle of the twins competition and just loved them for their uniqueness, albeit a bit  " quirky " in some aspects  8)They were always going to be up against the Duc 1198 's and later Panigales on the race tracks, which bikes were way more powerful and refined and it showed in the racing results. However, being a bit of a sucker for uniqueness , I just love the pure brilliance and rawness of the big Austrian V2 sports bike and will use it mostly in the ET mountains during weekend aways, where the huge torque and good handling will be king  8)

I've just finished 2 weeks leave and I try to ride every weekend. Good to clear the head and explore new places.
