Went for a quick breakfast ride … after the week I had, needed the head clearing session. No dirt but still a blast.

I don’t really stop for pictures…

Lekker! :thumleft:

Today's dry weather had to be used - so we did!
Out & about far East of Pretoria, was good.
Rounded off with a lunch at 'our' spot  :thumleft:

This morning I got onto the bike and followed my nose south towards the Vaal dam, aiming to see the open sluice gates.  It turned out to be a very fun ride with some muddy sections and water-logged roads thrown in for good measure.  Nothing hectic, just fun.  The amount of water and greenery was eye-watering (see what I did there) with the Vaal dam currently sitting at 102%.  Only 2 sluice gates were open, yet it remains an awesome sight to see.

I left home just before 0700 and after a burger and a coke at Riverview Pub & Grub at 1100 I pointed my bike towards Parys to get back to Johannesburg via gravel roads from there.  However, it was not to be as the rain caught me halfway there and looking at the cloud build-up and rain falling in the distance towards the south and west, I opted to dash back home on the R59, pulling into my driveway just after 1300.

Dit was nou lekker!
