Bikes handled tar very well with the Pirelli STRs

My local fav spot.
I thought the pass was still closed.
I was on forced leave last week, and by Friday I was gatvol of staying home and ticking off the To-Do List, so after some early morning errands I returned home, pulled out the bike and headed to Oudtshoorn, not been there at all since I moved down here. Took a nice leisurely ride over Outeniqua pass and then the tar all the way to Oudtshoorn, very dry looking place and a lot of people in town, apparently mainly all queued for Government Grants.
Decided to take some dirt back, so I found the road that leads to Paardepoort and went to make some dust.

At the N9, thinking that Montague pass was still closed I took Outeniqua pass again, I just HAD to, its a lot of fun throwing the bike around those twistys

And then through George, onto the 7 Passes to do 4 passes back home again, it never gets old, which also got me caught in a welcome thundershower.

@Mikie it is technically closed. In fact it's even barriered off.....halfway across the road...but vehicles are still going up and down.

What time did you go ride that day? I was putting gas in at that Engen in Heather Park and a 1200 cruised past and I thought to myself that it looked like you!

Not too sure on the exact time, but guessing I headed out at about 11, came back through George when the rain first started, around 3pm
Could have been me, I thought of asking if you wanted to join, but it was a last minute decision

Those STR's are very good indeed on asphalt in the twisties, I had numerous on my 1200's....good mileage too.

Did you not find them noisy though?
I love the STR's I am on my 4th set, best all rounder IMHO
