No, that's Montagu Pass, just behind George. Outeniqua mountains. The "other side of the valley" I refer to is the Outeniqua Pass.

Went to our locul dunes

Went up this dune. Sand was much harder due to the rains, will be back in the summer when its dryer and see what happens

Not today...yesterday....in light of the weather predictions indicating a moerse froue kont becreeping the country, I thought I'd best shoot out for some helmet therapy lest I succumb to cabin-fever induced insanity by Sunday afternoon.
105 kms on the back roads ( dirt) to Friemersheim, and then a little loop into the forests and over the Beneke River ( 3rd pic) and back to F/Heim. Then on the black stuff to Groot Brak and back to George on dirt roads.

This was last week Friday, also went for a ride around Groot Brak and Friemersheim before the cold came just like @EssBee

rode that exact same road, that painting in your first pic made me look twice as I came up that hill

...second to last pic is at Groot Brak river and the last pic is my makeshift gps(Garmin Instinct watch) mount! I loaded a route on Garmin Connect and it guided me quite well.
