I have a 2007 GSA with 80 000km now. Need to service and have it booked at the dealer for Tuesday 7 Feb. I got a quote from another dealer for the 80 000 service when they did some accident repairs few weeks ago and they came in at R21 000!!!!!! They want to replace discs, disc pads a part of it at a cost of around R15k. I scrutinized the discs and pads and the discs barely have a ridge in, is smooth and performing like always and the pads visibly still have plenty of room to go.
All services has been with dealers from new but I am getting seriously grumpy with the exorbitant cost of dealer service and parts.
I am looking for a non dealer centre that has the skills and experience to keep my bike in tip top condition without bonding my house every time.
Any help guys - I live out on the West Rand. Would relay appreciate a referral.
