Which brand aftermarket suspension?

Hello, Im hearing (reading) people say that the best thing they have done to their pigs are to upgrade the suspension to either Wilbers or Ohlins.

1) is it really worth the cash to "upgrade"
2) which brand should one go for?
3) can someone point me to a vendor for these?
