Which front tyre...............

Hi, please could you share some thoughts on which front tyre to put on a 990S.
I want to go for a knobbly, and am not sure what available out there.
Keeping the Scorpion at the rear, because my next trip is Baviaans, and need to cover 2300km of tar.
