Sort of a barn find, it was stashed at the back of the workshop where I'm currently doing a project.
Engine was solid, so I spoke to Mr-in-charge and asked if I could get it running could I use it. Affirmative reply, so dragged to my abode and stripped off the valve/cam cover to see what could be locking up the motor. With some fiddling it loosened up. I suspect the can chain could be stretched and possibly got caught up on the crank sprocket.
Whilst stripping the top i came across a configuration i have not seen before and having downloaded a couple of workshop manuals supposed to cover this model, I don't see it anywhere.
The can chain sprocket does not sit on the outside of the cam mount, but mounts from the long end over the cams and fastens from the inside, with the two screws facing inward.
Anyone seen this before? Could this be standard or some mod?
