I recently got a XR400 as a sideline project/toy and still busy tidying it up with some odds and ends.
One thing that irritates the life out of me is the exhaust. It has the standard pipe on, but minus the spark arrestor insert. Its loud, tinny and not pleasant at all.
Apart from fitting a aftermarket pipe, is there anything one can do to the pipe to make it a bit quieter?
Will have to see if the previous owner by some odd chance of luck still has the insert
