I haven't posted much on here - mainly due to only have a fireblade, but last friday I became the proud owner of a Honda XR650L 2012 model. I opted for the yoshi pipe straight out of the dealer which makes it shunt quite hard enough for me
(still not _fast_ compared to the blade, but you guys will know how nice these bikes do everything else ;-) )
Anyway, I was hoping I could attach some kind of top box to it, so that I can lug my "stuff" around when I commute / lock my helmet away when I can't drag it along with me. All of my searches re: this topic have come up empty though. There are lots of guys who do touring with a soft luggage that hang off the side on racks (which I'll eventually get too) but for now I'm just after something where I can stash some stuff for everyday out and about trips.
Has anyone fitted a generic rack and maybe bolted something aluminium or plastic on top of it? Even a "go search here: XYZ" will suffice, google doesn't come up with much. Which kinda leads me to believe that it doesn't get done. But I'm sure someone must have experience with this kind of thing?
