XT660z radiator fan

Hi

Droomers just let me know on a service that the radiator fan seems to need replacing
The issue is that it is a 4 - 6 week wait time and it cost R7500 to do

I am obviously not going that route, and everywhere I read on this the people say that the fan rarely comes on, even during heavy use

So 2 questions:
1: I assume it should be fine to use it up to where I can make a plan (I don't commute anymore during heavy times)
2: Does anyone know of alternatives or scrapyards that I can try ?


When I get it back I will do the tests as far as I can, but I just want to hear from the guys with experience on this
I remember on my XT660R years ago I also thought that the fan didn't work as I never heard it start, but is was also never an issue and it was actually operational


On the move from GS to XT there are now three things I need to learn about:
Chain maintenance, tjoops and apparently a radiator as well
