A Few of you might be familiar with my obsession for the last 3 years :biggrin:
It has been the ultimate DS bike and I'm hard pressed to sell but I want/need a play bike and although a plastic would be an awesome addition I don't have the space, time or moola for 2 bikes so I decided to give the Dark Side a taste and have ordered a new 690R.
Li and I have also decided that we would rather do shorter trips than long tours and prefer to "stoetie" our bikes to far off destinations anyway.
So here are the details, bear with me it’s a long list!! :ricky:
It’s a RED 2010 XT660Z Tenere
Has 30 000km's on the clock, Service intervals on the 660Z is 10 000ks but I have had them done every 5 000ks. (Full oil Change, filters cleaned and new oil filter)
It has truly be a joy to own, so capable off road yet still eats the km’s on tar like it’s a trip to the shops.

Excel front rim
Full Hyper Pro spring upgrade (Front and Rear) Best mod I have done by far! Pillion or loaded with gear it just sits up and begs for more, Huge grin factor (Stock springs included)
Crash Bars (SW Motec)

Ally Bash plate
Hyde Clutch and frame protectors
Airtime MX foot pegs
Folding brake pedal
Centre Stand
Chain and sprockets replaced at 20000ks
Full Stage 3 DNA Airfilter kit
Relocated regulator unit to under the tank, Solves the issues with the connector getting wet.
Power Commander (Really improved tractability and low end grunt)
ThundaCan dual exhaust with quite cores, great for cruising and easily removable when you feel rude! (Stock decatted pipe included)
Indicator integration into front and rear lights for sleek look and less to break off, (Original indicators included)
Small Rear luggage rack
Large rear luggage rack with removable pannier frames
TAG Fat Bars (Stock bars included)
Bar Raisers
Heated Grips
Cycra Hand guards
Moded Cockpit with Temp and Batt/Charging lights
Hella Plug with integrated standard 12V cig lighter adaptor
Shortened blacked out screen, I like the look and it helped with buffeting for my height (Brand new unopened stock screen included)
Good condition 21” D606 knobbly on the front
Brand New (300ks) TKC on the rear
2 x Brand new Dunlop D606 17” tires (Hands down the best tires available for this bike and unfortunately no longer available in SA) Chickens teeth are easier to find.
I know extras don’t add anything to your selling price but that’s around R30 000’s mods and extras!
For months I’ve been getting bored and looking at her and thinking what else can I do and damn there is just nothing left to add!
