Due to other commitments I will be selling my Original 1984 Yamaha XJ900 RK. I bought the bike from the first owner in November 2015. The bike was originally very well looked after and garaged all it's life. She needed a bit of attention, and I started fixing her up and getting her in top shape. She currently has 47821 kilometers on the clock.
When I bought her, I did a full service which included engine oil, final drive oil, fuel filter and oil filter. The spark plugs and air filter is still in very good condition.
Last year around June I sent her in to Shimwells Yamaha to perform a carburetor tune up and sync. The valve shims were also checked and adjusted and a general tune up was performed. This bike runs like a swiss watch, very very smooth and she still has a lot of oomf. The exhaust was replaced with a Full Cowley system, due to the original exhaust being a bit vrot.
The following was also done last year:
Epoxy coating inside fuel tank.
Brand new Cowley 4 into 1 system
Front shock seals done
Rear shocks replaced
Brand new Motobatt battery (4 months old)
This bike is very original and in very good shape. The only non original items are the rear shocks and the exhaust system.
she is in a mechanically perfect condition. I wanted to do a full restore on her, and have ordered a full original sticker kit from Italy, bit I never got around to it. This will be included in the sale. Tyres are also in very good condition.
Included will be the spare key, and owners manual.
She is registered in my name and all documents are in order.
