Well here goes my project turning the legend Yamaha xs1100 1981 into a Cafe Racer style motor bike. O0
Now bare with me I am not mechanic at all, I understand concepts and love to research so I guess I am in the right place.
As I need to research how the 4 cylinder engine works, it is going to be a very challenging task but why not!! I love this dreaming phase
where my mind is all over the place not sure where to start but I have got a game plan with the Yamaha XS 1100
First I need to get this engine started as it is has been standing for some time now.
To do list not in any specific order! ;D
- Flush engine of old oil and ensure all the muck is removed
- Purchase new engine oil
- Purchase new battery
- Purchase new spark plugs
- Purchase gear oil
- Purchase air filter
- Purchase oil filter
Oh yes I love pics so lets not waste more time here is some pics of the xs1100.
The drive back from Rustenburg
New Home
I have cleaned the bike up a bit stripped a couple of parts off,
Next goal is to get the engine going.
Here are my inspiration pics
Cheers
