For Sale Yamaha XT500 1981

Yamaha XT500 1981 (think H model), done 43056km, running and licensed. Owned for about 15 years, done some of the maintenance and some restoration myself, and other with XT specialists in Gauteng. Selling as I am currently down-scaling and don't have a place to store. Selling for R55 000.

Replacements/modifications done:
Original XT500 muffler (had Cowley on when purchased)
Longer XT500 front shocks serviced with Kedo parts (original stored, needs work)
Left side cover replaced with original that I got from Yamaha
Clutch cable
Flasher relay
Air filter removed and using cone (original stored, needs work)

New:
Battery
Chain
Hagon Enduro Shocks
Oil Drain Plug Magnetic (Kedo)
Handlebar Switch (Kedo)
Tires done about 400 km

Serviced/work done:
Clutch plates
Oil change
Wiring harness (original 6 volt setup)
Wheel bearing front and rear (Kedo parts)
Steering (bearing kit Kedo parts)
Powder coated frame
Reused original nuts and bolts where possible (80-85% original)
Tank resprayed (has minor scratch)

Need TLC:
Side stand needs respray
Exhaust needs needs respray
