Zimbabwe in August/September

OK, my next plan for a trip is around Zimbabwe, through Bots to Francistown, into Zim at Plumtree, up to Kariba, board the ferry and cross Kariba, disembark at Kariba town, cross to Mutare, back via the ruins and out at Beit Bridge, any suggestions for accomodation en route?
There is quite a good website for this, but IMO the Dawgs have better idea's.
The ferry has certain departure times which I will have to stick to, the rest is open.
Unfortunately this is not open to all, there are 5 bikes going, my maximum for a trip of this type.

Added August as an option, the ferry has certain dates, August has confirmed dates already.
Possible plan:
Leave JHB Saturday, get to Bulawayo area
Sunday to Vic Falls,
Monday to Mlibizi
Tuesday on Ferry
Wednesday dock in Kariba town, stay over, check out the wall.
Thursday somewhere betweem Kariba and Mutari?
Friday Mutari
Saturday Mutari area
Sunday head for Masvinga, check out ruins, head for Lion and Elephant
Monday head for home
