Got back earlier. Totally farked! But I finished it!  :ricky: :ricky: :ricky: :ricky: :ricky: :ricky: :ricky: :ricky: :ricky: :ricky: :ricky: :ricky:

Busy with some video editing. Some fails to show again.   (fails here: https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=82820.0 )

Thanks to organizers, Marshalls and recovery (yes, a Land Rover!)

KK, don't expect anything in your Christmas stocking from me!  :deal:

Got stuck assisting and repairing for about an hour, so got really far behind. Did the Atlantis loop all on my own. That got seriously lonely.

Felt quite useless in that sand, until I passed some guys on the second loop in the sand. Felt a little better then! Sorry for the guys that did not make it all the way. You gave it all.

Strengths to Uncle Bob with the ankle. I just need to ask why you hit that drainage ditch at that speed, after you hit it just as hard on the 1st qualifier. Memory going with the old age?  :pot:

Roost gave a good showing I understand. Started about 20th, and came in 4th.

Can't wait To see the Video. :thumleft: :thumleft:

baie geluk pleco, jy't hard geoefen vir die een!
Daai roost het laat waai vandag!

En ek het 'n voeltjie hoor fluit dat 'n hp2 ryer baie dink van die Ktms nadat hy iemand s'n gery het vandag... :peepwall:

Well done to all the riders.
The front runners ran so fast , that the marshals barely made it to the next control point in time.

Control point 1

And Legadema ! I hope the ankle is only bruised , it was a very nasty fast tumble that you had.

Just as well Rynet wasn't there............... :peepwall:

Great pics so far!!!

The morning started off quite smoothly, except for a few hungry guys. The power kept on tripping and some were in desperate need of coffee. I am still waiting for mine  Thanks to our host, Zone 7... you provided us with a perfect location!

My day at base was quite uneventful and I was enjoying the peace and quiet  :peepwall: ...well, as much peace and quiet you can get at Zone 7 with the boys jumping through the air! Those 2-strokes sure make a lot of noise!

And then all hell broke loose when I had to dispatch an ambulance for Legadema... all I could hear on the phone was 'Nee moenie, ek wil nie in die ambulans ry nie!' ... Glad you are OK Bob! Thanks Andy and Crossed-Up for staying with him and for Sprocketbek who brought him and his bike back.

After that I had a few lost souls and broken down bikes. Thank you to Buzzlightyear and Deon from the Land Rover Club who worked relentlessly to pull the guys out.

Thank you to all the media guys, the front marshalls (Andy and Crossed-Up) and the exempt riders (Scrat, tour, nu11, SACK, tau) who decided to play marshalls at the back... it is appreciated!

To my core team... wayneh, Leftless and KK... YOU ARE FANTASTIC!

J-dog and Marius KZN.... I must admit that I was really surprised to see J-dog pitch up with his XL 500 ... Thank you for making the effort and the oh so long journey to join us!!!!

To the participants... without you we would only be a dream.... you were in a totally different league yesterday! Well done to all!!!!

Bring on April 2012!!!!

I'll amend my posts later with names.....there are a few discrepancies between the list in Planning a Ride section and what I see. Just need to clarify some.
1) Legadema
2) Roost

Wasn't easy with all the tracks. Oom Bob hope your ankle heals quickly.
