I was doing some work on the 500S (which I used for this ride) and found out that tyre pressure front and back is 2.7 bars.

No wonder the bike felt a little toothless in the sand. I'd forgotten to deflate the tyres.

I also found that the handlebars are bent to the extent that one side is 3-4cm lower than the other.

I hadn't even noticed before the ride.

The harder you pump a tyre, the fatter it swells, and result is also bigger footprint.
