After this weekend on the farm at Thabazimbi and having had a chat with Annorexia (the Farm Owner) and Bender we thought it a novel idea to have the first Warthog Run for the year in March while it is still nice and warm outside. The idea being that we camp in the middle of the farm in the veld for the weekend.
The Farm has plenty of game on it including Girraffe, Kudu, Blesbok, Rooihartbees, Waterbuck, Impala, Nyala, and of course............warthogs!! :ricky:
The farm is snuggled at the bottom of the Kransberg mountains on the verge of Marekele Game Reserve.

You sleep in and on what you bring, stretcher, tent, sleeping bag or just out in the open under a tree if you want to take on the snakes! :eek7:
Annorexia will supply basic amenities like food, fresh watersupply and wood for the fire, as well as one or two veldpits for your number one's or more specifically your number two's :thumleft:
There will be a vehicle coming through to the farm bringing anything and everything you might want to send along to the farm so it won't be necessary to pack your bike like a frikken pack donkey :biggrin:
The routes for the weekend will be 90% dirt and there will be a Friday dirt run there, Saturday outrides around Marekele or out to Steenbokpan
Sunday morning the dirt route back will be around 280 odd k's.
Fully detailed Garmin GPS route files will be supplied for download onto your GPS
The farm and riding in the area is superb and if you have never joined us in this awesome experience now is the time.............. :biggrin: Mark Hardy, Circlip, Madmike, Panne,
We will braai both Friday and Saturday evenings and there will be enough to make a boerie for brekkie or brunch
There is a dam to go and wash or swim in or if you are really particular or gay you can always have a shower at the farmhouse.
Maybe we can even set up a rudimentary bos shower ???
The costs for the weekend will include your weekend fee for access to the farm, A T shirt or cap, all meals, Coffee, Tea and rusks and the chance to sleep in the bush.
Provisionally R350 p/p for one night and R500.00 p/p for 2 ( we want you there for the Friday evening ;D)
An account number will be supplied soon for payments and confirmations
The timing is tight so if you want to come along make haste and put your name on the list.
PS: Traditionally these trips have always been an all male affair.
If you need to bring your wife or girlfriend along, be aware that the circumstances will probably include lewd language and everything else that goes with a boys weekend! All is welcome but my wife prefers to stay away :
