LDBA 2014 Weekend at the Bundu Lodge - Riding Heaven - Post your pics here

It was my first and it wont be my last. :deal:

Lamo( Matt), WRH(Wade), Bond(Derrick) and myself rode up from Durban and loved every minute of it.

Rieka and Mark( Just blip it) organised a fantastic weekend away.A big thank you to you guys. Lots of hard work.

Joe Rust gave a talk on Friday night and Brett Cummins a talk on Sat night.

The accommodation and food was great but the riding was superb. The perfect mix of pure joy and thinking SHIT im going to fall here.

The locals made us feel very welcome and a big thanks to Lycan, Macjohnw, Chopperpilot and Outdoorsman to name a few. It was good meeting you guys.

Thanks Badger! It was great to have you and the gang from Natal, thanks to all the riders that made the weekend such a great success and to my marshals that assisted me picking the guys up, dusting them off and sending them on their way again!

Whaling, once again Rika went out of her way to make a success of this outing. I participated on the 1st LDBA, but never was able to do so since then.
My "LDBA" this week-end was to go and buy a set of new handle grip to the BMW dealer...except that I was facing problems with my front brakes that from time to time gets tighter and tighter...result, the front wheel ceased, some dirt on the road make the bike slides on the side when the front wheel blocked. So me, myself and I end up sliding towards the pavement...and result: broken clavicle (collarbone), broken scapula (shoulder plate) broken 6th rib, broken collar of the glenoid...

Positive things:
1. no operation needed
2. In short ride I normally wear a short "half scooter summer halmet...thanks the loard, I decided to go with a full one. Considering the scratches, this save my head...and probably my life
3. The question if I soul have my riding jacket on...would I had fractures...probably yes, and I would have been in more agony removing the jacket
4. When you are in hospital, you always see worst cases than yours...I am very lucky
5. The least of importance, the bike...just few scratches...these 1150 GS are indestructible... They are PIGS
Anyway, I should have probably come on the LDBA, it would have been cheaper, more fun, and less painful.

Ons skryf in kry ons goodie bag en plak al ons stickers op, maar ons gatte juk mos om te ry en Lycan se hy ken n lekke pad ons sal terug wees v die briefing
Ons vat toe die pad. Dit is nou ek,Lycan, outdoorsman, en Chopperpilot.
Vir die wat nie afrikaans verstaan nie " just look at the pictchas"









Lycan besluit om ons n nice trick te wys waar na ons hom bietjie op help, behalwe ek want iemand moet die fotos neem









Teen die tyd is ons klaar laat v die briefing hoop net ons maak dit v die outride wat daar na is want tee die tyd is ons al ver die bose in.
