Well, another Sani trip but my first one. It will be my son and I, and maybe 1 or 2 others.

Thinking of a 3-day Lesotho trip in 2 weeks time. Thought of going (from PTA) down to Underberg/Himeville day1, then day 2 up Sani and head north through Lestho, exiting at Fouriesburg or thereabouts, then homewards (PTA) on day 3.

Maybe even go up Sani on day 1 already, then sleep at the backpackers everyone talks about. It will shorten the ride on day 2.

So, that's the basic plan. But having never been up Sani, or though Lesotho there might be some things I'm missing here, like a road or route to avoid, or another that is a must-ride.

Questions.
1. Are there places to sleep on this route in Lesotho if we should come unstuck? Or do we take a tent just in case?
2. Is there fuel available along this route? Or is the last fuel stop in Himeville?
3. Is is pushing it for a noob like me to try the 220 odd km's on day 2?

Any feedback from those in the know will be much appreciated.

And, anyone wanting to join? I'm a noob, so probably won't be going fast...
