Mmm need some sage advice and a little experience here.
my machine is getting a little clunky in the gears department. Symptoms are a less than 100% smooth gear shift every now and then, the odd (very seldom) false neutral and the one that concerns me most when starting in 1st with the clutch pulled in the bike is sometimes unable to start. In neutral is starts like a charm instantly.
My feeling is that there may be some issue with the clutch operating under slightly less than optimal conditions. It has been almost exactly 5000km after the last service where BMW ripped me new one for an oil change.
Question: would a complete oil change (other than being a generally good thing) assist in getting the gearbox back to silky smooth?
Second Question: can the guru's recommend a specific brand / grade to use in the 800. The manual seems a little vague on this.
