I use to ride a 650 Dakar but recently I bought my dream motorcycle an F 800 Gs.I bought the bike about two weeks.It is a second hand bike with 14 000 km on the clock.I have only been riding it for about 200km when it started leaking oil from the head gasket.
I read up on the 800 before and I know that the 2008 model had this problem but I have got the 2009.
This brings me to the two question I have got.
1) I live about 300km from the nearest BMW dealer and my bike is still under warranty, is this the BMW Dealer who sold me the bike's problem to get the motorcycle to the dealer and get it fixed or mine. I did ask him before a bought the motorcycle if it has this problem and he told me that it was only the 2008 model.
2) If it is the head gasket what must be changed to eliminate this problem completely.
