When i lived in Pretoria, I had the Pelle (Vriende) but not the Paaie. (Roads)
Now that i live in the Karoo, i have the paaie but not the Pelle.
This is not entirely true, because i know many other bikers here in the Karoo. But for some strange reason, the people living by the sea, never swim in the sea. Same story here in the Karoo. I have a 2011 / GS1200R. My friend in need. I have a Guest house here and it keeps me so buzzy that i hardly have time for my bike... But i enjoy washing her and keeping her in tip-top condition. It is nice to look at her every day, even i don't ride her that much... Ek ry haar nie te veel nie. Verskoon asb my Engels ek is eintlik Afrikaans. I have been taking bikers on breakfast rides here before, but i don't do that anymore. The reason is because i am riding too slow. It is of no use if the leader arrives at the destination an hour after the last rider.... So, i am more of an irritation than of any help. But if anybody ever want information about nice routes here in our area, you are welcome to ask me for advice. I can help you with that. During Lock down i had friends who came and imprisoned themselves here for 2 months. I have never been riding so much in my life than during that time. We were locked up here in the Karoo and all the roads back to Gauteng was blocked... That was really BAD....
