We are off on one of our multi day motorcycle rides in a few weeks, and when we move from Oudtshoorn to Willomore, the plan was to ride the 7 Passes Road. I know it is "closed", but if I activate traffic on Google maps, it indicates to me that only a portion closer to George is closed, and if I was to travel down to George, along the N2 to Wilderness, I could get back onto the 7 Passes Road by going up the Hoogte Road and then the Whites Road. Would that be correct or are there other problems further along. I am also aware the Montagu Pass is closed, but while that is unfortunate for us, it is a fairly easy work around.
