The lefthand heated grip on my 2009 F800GS stopped working. Apparently, it's a thing with the lefthand grip. I followed this excellent repair thread on AdvRider, but now that I've got the wiring exposed (see pic) , I'm stumped.
Neither of the soldered joints are loose. There is conductivity from each of the joints to the plug. There is no conductivity from one joint through the element to the other. I guess there's a trace broken, but I can't get the rubber peeled back far enough to see.
Any ideas? I'm hearing $$$ chinging at my BMW dealer for a replacement part
