I didnt see this coming, when she test rode the 450L she said it was way too powerfull for her, so she got something taller and more powerful
The 600 does have more chugging ability than the CRF300, making it more relaxing to ride gnarly stuff. Carb is also a bit more forgiving than EFI, especially at low rpm. That engine would most probably be happy hovering between 3000 and 4000 rpm.

I did the same thing, when I did my Africa tour I went on a Transalp 650, carb, no electronics and a workhorse. 15 000km and all I had to fix was a blown fork seal once. I agree with her about all the electronics on bikes. Its also adding to the massive cost of bikes..

Well, her experience has grown since then. I've said some stuff over the last months and years that I don't agree with now.

I think she test rode the 450L only a year or 2 ago.. Dunno, Ive actually lost track, Im still trying to find the time to watch her South America trip
