That plate is definately not original. As far as I can remember there should be one complete loop all the way round. welding a piece in should be fine. I will check my subframe this evening and let you know. Cheers

I had the stock bash plate on my bike and does not protect the stator/clutch casings AT ALL!! at 80kmh i just clipped a lurker on the stator side and it ripped the carbon cover in half and gouged the cover badly ::)... lucky it did not leak and I was able to complete the trip. I got Paul @ PSP...

I put a Hidenau-Scaut  150 on my SE and a tread block tore off  at about 900km!! The rest of the tyre was 100% :(

Tried TKC80 front and the bike had SERIOUS headshake @ 140kmh. I took the bike back to ktm after they recommended I fit the TKC80. They took it off and fitted a new karoo 2T and the headshake disappeared!

I have acrapovics and done about 20 000km  mostly low speed technical riding and I haven't had any problems!!

As far as I know the Hyde Screen IS made from Perspex that is why it breaks so easily!!
