Which bash plate?

Hey Dawgs
I have recently acquired a SE-R and it came with a Plastic Hyde bash plate fitted over the standard alloy excuse for a plate.
Do you think this will be adequate protection from a big sharp rock landed on at speed or should I fit an aftermarket aluminium plate?
Due to the limited nature of this bike, it is hard to find a plate specific for the SE-R. Do you have any ideas?
