After a good night sleep we headed off. Got petrol at the pumps at Palmwag. Again Kevin and i slabbed it to Opuwa country lodge. While the others took the planned route.

After a lot of planning and help from fellow Wilddog members i managed to put together a trip to Kaokoland. I was last there in 1995 and for years wanted to return. Renrew, KTM500, Goodtogo,XR650L, My brother Kevin 790R and myself KTM 500. The date was set for 15May we meet in Grobelershoop...

I had this on my 790R. It is documented on ADV rider. I posted it a while back. Remove the fuel cap. Part it and remove the little white plastic valves. Re assemble and all will be good 👍

I have seen some chaps have had side stands breaking. I took mine off to see what is the weak point .  What i worked out was the thread is to short . It needs to be drilled and taped right through for extra strength to that location spigot. And replaced the counter bolt with a 30mm long bolt...

I am on std 14/50 but have been doing more tech rides. I agree 14/48 will be a good combination.

I was told. The Cat produces  back pleasure heat, onto the valves which burns off carbon build up.  In the heads and valves.  Only time will tell. So i re installed my Cat.
