When you said bottom end power was good I ruled out reed valves.Have a look at the upgraded VForce reed valves.

Wicker/non sweat compression shirt under armour and then a MX top on or off depending on the ride.

Common fault that Michiel.That fan switch housing comes with the fan kit.Ask around on the "for sale " section,somebody may have fitted a manual switch and may have one.Ask the workshop staff at yr local dealer if they have one from a fan kit.I made one once out of brass fittings but it was so...
