I broke my uncomfortable 2012 seat pan and upgraded to a 2014 seat.It is way more comfortable.Ride height is up a bit but not a problem for me.

The only downside will be deep river crossings.I am very aware of my Rottweiler air filter on my SE.On more than one occasion I have exited with the bike coughing and spluttering.

JJ the root of 777's problem was a bad connection on the multi plug coming from his pulse generator.This probably threw the computer out and caused the error code.The bike has been fine ever since.

The section of downhill in yr first photo was treacherous .My bike actually got away from me and did it on its own.

There is going to be fun and games within the first few kilometers when we have to cross the Duzi river.It is super slippery under foot.A good spectator point.

BV i ordered mine direct from "Double Take" in U.S.  or Canada .I use them on my 690 ,which I use as a dirt bike.They aren't great but are acceptable if yr mirrors are folded in most of the time.On the road I constantly have to adjust them as they move.I think that folding mirrors will b better...

If your rotor from the alternator is damaged find out from an auto electrician which reminders they use.

There is a farmer 20 km out of Matat on the Swartberg road .There is accommodation for about 10 single people.Bunk beds in one building and the other building has 2 rooms with 2 single beds in each room. The place was clean. The food was good. A good place to overnight. Ian McDonald-0837793118

Same as above. This seems the best combo for me.It also keeps me honest ( under 150 km) on the tar. Unfortunately mileage I cannot answer as I really don't feather them at all. The pros of the front is that it is a 100 profile so it offers a bit more air protection to the front rim.

Pumbaa the Osram Nightbreakers are probably yr best bet.Do yrself a favour and get a set of spots from Extremelights.They are having a special on there 1000W equivalents.They also have a 3600W or so .

Strangely enough my 690 is really planted at speed.Gravel roads at 148 on the gps but I should imagine tyre selection and suspension set up have a lot to do with this.I have a dampner in the front. This bike allows you to be able to explore off the beaten track without being a burden.The gravel...

My 690 came with a full rally kit which I didn't enjoy .I ditched it after one ride and put it back to its original form.I don't tour on my 690 so I don't require the extra fuel.I try to ride as much single track as possible so the rally fairing only got in the way.I have taken a fuel bladder...
