    A lean and hot running engine does have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the spark plugs heat value. You can NOT fix a lean or rich running engine by fitting a different heat value spark plug. Fit the snorkel or get the bike jetted.

    The engine can stay in the frame. Exhaust off, rocker box off, TCT out cam shaft out, cylinder head off, cylinder off. It is much more difficult to pull the gudgeon pin and leave the piston in the cylinder than pulling the piston out of the cylinder. I don't think this is a job for some one...
