My pin burnt away as well. I also drilled a small hole through the plastic top and connected the wire with a bolt, nut  & spade connector. I had a small leak where the burnt off pin was, which I sealed with epoxy. Seems to be holding out so far.

It was the pin4 on top of the pump assembly which got pitted & eventually burnt off. All sorted now.

Ja, I am a pro with the pump now. Had it in & out about a 100 times.  :-[  :thumleft:

Touratech SA also has these at R701 each. Also foldable. Look quite nice as well.

LocoMoto has them for R1750.00 for a pair. I would also like to get a set at some stage.

I see that the Optimate charge leads come out with a fuse installed.
