I apparently have the same problem with my tank, rusty with loose pieces. Any word on someone in the Cape Town area that does this.

Broken ribs are sore, but what I remember most was the 'click' 'click' sound and feeling as the broken bits moved against each other.  :o

Madmacs have two downstairs here. Both at that price point but already fitted with crashbars etc.

Do they have different models (like a X only?). MadMacs at the bottom of my building (2 Long Street) had a yellow one and now have a black one. I can ask what model it is, but only next week Extremely extremely good looking in the flesh :thumleft: The picture I took doesn't do it justice.

What he said :thumleft: the towing vehicle weight plays a big role. VW polo towing heavy and  poorly packed 5ft venter= not good. Pajero LWB towing a pooly packed 5ft venter = much less of an issue

nothing worse than kit that is too small. Boots - ouch, the burn. Helmet - the headache, the weird marks on your head when you stop. Gloves - Sore finger tips. and wriggling them doesn't help. Wallet - the 'why didn't I wait and make sure' moment

Have to confess all the talk of Hall sensors makes me nervous that I'm going to get stuck sooner or later. I've owned my 1999 GS since 2013 and don't know if the previous owner every had any problems. Is it worth having it checked out as part of a service?

Finished the book. It was  very well written and very readable. Not much about his bike though............ Fascinating. Highly reccommended.
