'08 KLR - smoking at startup

Gents,

perhaps you could enlighten me - my KLR has started smoking in the mornings, from first start, with choke on, and this stops after a minute or two.
I have Jardine (from USofA) exhaust fitted, and engine jetted. Smells of fuel? Any ideas/suggestions?
