A post by Tryblogs on the LDBA thread has reminded me of this.
I can't find the other posts now, but I seem to regularly hear stories of the brakes on the 1150 failing in some way; either locking up or not working at all with little or no warning. This is on bikes that, as far as I know, are well maintained and serviced.
I don't own an 1150 but it's a possibility for a friend of mine and I want to give him the right advice.
Is there a particular year model that is known to have brake issues? Is there a doohicky-type fix that should be done on all 1150s? Is it just a case of specific maintenance on a braking component? Am I smoking my socks?
I have huge respect for these great bikes and I hope it's just coincidence that I've heard these stories.
