Sort of almost made up my mind that I might get the KTM 1290.
Now I have the dilemma of which one. Although I probably will ride mostly tar, I do not want to miss out on all the nice backcountry roads we have here in the Cape.
One part of me is thinking of the SAS and then getting the spoked wheelset with different set of tyres for when I want a rough gravel outing, and the other is thinking of the SAR and then just putting on a set of decent dual purpose tyres.
When you bought your 1290, why did you select the specific version you eventually bought? I am 1.82m with an 84cm inseam, so the height is not an issue on the SAR.
Also might want to take a ride on the new 2020 AT if it might get here before the end of the year, but I doubt they will hit our shores before then, and I don't want to wait forever. So for now the 1290 is the front runner.
BTW I searched all over the forum for a similar thread, but could not find one.
