I have been building my own redesigned 500 R for the last 6 or so months......
Has been a fantastic project
Picked up the bike in a non running state
It was pretty trashed and had been sitting for a number of years.....
I will be doing a rebuild thread soon but in the meantime I have a clutch problem
All brand new components and motor completely rebuilt
The clutch cable is very slack as if something has not engaged or is stuck in position
Thought it may be the clutch plates stuck together so when I started the bike the other day......it started without too much fiddling......i tried to loosen the plates by forcing the gears into first......no luck
It seems like the clutch actuator arm connected to the clutch cable is not engaging with the clutch lifter arm
Does anyone know what I can do to sort this out ?
