Pack Dog
Hi Dogs,
Unfortunately the day has come where I have to let go of my pride and joy. Koekies (because KTM apparently stands for koekies tee en melk), has been my first bike I have ever owned. I have taken extremely good care of her. The bike has very rarely seen its comfort zone i.e dirt roads mainly because my riding skills didnt allow it and the other being that all my friends has bmws and are all too scared to go offroad. Hence, I can easily say that she has done less than 10% gravel roads.
The bike comes with a lot of extras which I would like to sell with the bike and not seperately as I dont have time for the admin. I do not really have to sell it but since I have an offroad and GS aswell I rarely ride her anymore, hence please dont take chances. If you are looking for a bargain of the century, keep on scrolling. Do know that based on this bikes condition and all the extras included it is a good deal.
Before I bought this bike, everyone told me not to even consider a ktm with over 50k km on as they are unreliable and blah blah. I can not emphisize enough how misinformed and non-applicable that statement is to my bike. My bike is honestly mechanically in just as good condition as the day it left the factory (apart from normal wear parts).
Honesty section:
The bike has 4 or 5 minor scratches which all basically occured in the first two weeks of owning the bike. Id rather not mention details of how dumb I was when it happened. I have included pics of the scratches. Oh and the cubbyhole lid's hinges broke off.
List of extras:
1. Garmin zumo 660
2. Touratech lockable gps mount
3. Dark tint touring screen.
4. Original screen.
5. Hyde headlight covers(clear and orange)
6. Hepco and becker pannier racks.
7. Hepco and becker panniera with keys.
8. Original luggage plate and rear handle bars.
9. Large KTM luggage plate
10.SC Projects carbon tipped slipon exhausts (sounds amazing)
11. Original exhaust slippons.
12. KTM tank bag (lost the straps)
13. Carbon fibre long range tanks (extra 8liters, not fitted currently)
14. Ekstra ktm original oil filter
15. Set of front brake pads.
16. Carbon fibre clutch cover (lost the other side's cover)
17. Basically new pirelli scorpion tyres.
18. KTM powerwear jacket (size large) with 2 x inner layers.
19. KTM powerwear pants with inners, basically brand new, never wore it as I am too dik.
20. Arai tour X3, KTM branded. (has some scuffs and scratches and could do with a new visor.)
21. Washable foam air filter, (cant rember what brand)
22. 30mm handlebar risers
Other things included but not really considered as extras:
1. Tool kit - not complete but has most of the original tools.
2. Spare keys - dont have the programming key, previous owner never gave it to me.
3. Owners manuals
4. Rubber footpeg inserts(never used)
5. Original hand guards (ones in photos will be removed and put back on my offroad)
Service history:
Bike was serviced at ktm up to 20k km. I bought it at 23k and serviced it every 5k km, varying between adventure bike tech, dealers and myself. I have only done the minor oil and filters services. Valve clearances was checked at 50k km service at the dealers. Bike is currently on 59160km. I will take it for a service before selling but that will increase the price as I would have to take her to FAST KTM as it is the closest dealer.
I might have missed a thing or two but I hope you get a picture that this is a proper package. The bike is a get on and go and appart from its normal maintenance services has no money to be spent.
Asking R100 000 neg.
