The 701 and DRZ400 was ideal on the route. The guys on the bigger bikes had to work a bit harder.

DAY 2 - ANOTHER BLACK ROUTE

Day 2 started in much the same fashion as day 1. [member=8559]trevo[/member] was joining me again and we were teaming up with Saay on his 690. Saay was [member=4453]Just Blip It![/member] 's wingman on most of the recces in the area.

As we left the The Winkler, it was clear that we had a bit of a " following" wanting to tag along. One rider with a 800GS and topbox specifically worried me..... > >
Saay rode in front and set a brisk pace which meant we lost our "tail" within the first km of hitting the dirt. It was just the 3 of us for the rest of the morning.

The ride was a lot more technical than day one and soon I was breathing heavy in the helmet and sweating like a dog.

Hi everyone - been a while since posting here! Yes - LDBA was a lekker jol! Hard work - Mark nailed it with the routes and I loved every moment organising this 8th LDBA!

Great pics thanks - did I receive all yours at the event? Would like to use some for the official LDBA video which will be done tomorrow! That yellow GS800 Topbox man also crossed our path -  he is actually also from Nelspruit. Wish the GS guys would leave those delivery boxes at home .. maybe  ot: :imaposer:
