Thanx for sharing this amazing adventure with all of us. Well done to all the contestants, especially to the winners. Although.... all who take part in Quest are winners.

Well organised and inspired by Honda SA and once again, logistically brilliantly executed by Specialised asventures.
Gooi Hardy amper die Unimog om toe ek vir hom jou “asventures” lees...

On many of the contestants, you can see many of them have a red forehead.

That’s from red food colouring squirted into their helmets by one of the competitors. To avoid suspicion, he put some in his own helmet too.

He’d fooled Hardy into buying some earlier under the pretence that they wanted to make a cake and needed the ingredients.

Andre said of his partner [member=217]bud500[/member] , “flip, maar jy lyk net soos ń Himba!”

I'll let the competitors on here fill you in on who the prankster was

Congratulations to the winners! :thumleft:
Brian and Neil, you guys got the bikes, but all of the contestants were winners!
At the beginning I could see how the contestants were still shy and reserved!
After the winners were announced there was a group of friends that sounded as if they had known each other for years!
It was closely contested and I could not determine any team that was ahead of the rest even up to the end!
Well done to you all, you guys were great :thumleft:

Post Honda Quest Blues, gratitude and reality checks.

I woke up in a bed this morning - My own bed at home in Loxton in the Karoo, and not a sleeping bag somewhere next to the Orange river
For 9 days I have traveled with friends and people I have only met once before. We have ridden and driven through what must be one of the most beautiful regions in our country.
We have all been part of the Honda Quest 2020.

I have seen boys become men, and I have seen a girl that showed us the true meaning of the afrikaans word "Vasbyt"
I have seen teamwork displayed in such spectacular fashion that it left me in wondering why there are still so many problems in this country that are still not fixed. I realized this morning that I have witnessed the spectacle of how capable us South Africans are of doing great things, when we work together.

To our "Kitchen Crew":
Louis, Nannie and Chantal - Thank you for providing excellent meals under difficult circumstances. We know how early you guys had to get up each morning to make this happen.

To our "Kamp Kaptein"
Hennie - You are the personification of what this country need more of. Thank you for your hard work every day and night.

Our Instructors:
Claude and Gerrit - Thank you for the kind but precise and fair way in which you lead the contestants into battle. My eternal respect.

Brett - our Medic:
Boet, you are so much more than a medic. Thank you for your compassion with others.

Andrew - our Media Liaison
Your passion for people moved everyone around you, and Willie could not have asked for a better brother in arms. Thank you for the inspiration, your balancing influence, the wise words and all your help.

Willie - Our Content "Crew"
What can one say about someone that will work in 20 hour shifts, without complaining, eat only if there is time, and still lights up the camp moral with his quick witted humor.
Willie, you are a genius and I believe anyone that has ever worked with you will testify to this - Thank you.

Riaan Fourie and the rest of Team Honda:
It has been a privilege to see how serious you take your work.
Thank you for believing in us and thank you for trusting us to show what your products are capable of.
You have achieved the most important thing any brand can ever do:
You have made your customers emotional about your brand

The contestants:
I will never forget the contestants of 2020:
Thank you for showing me once again what True Adventure means

Just keep your eyes on this site and on the social media channels. A call to entry will be published at some point, not sure when.
Well worth the effort.

Epic Quest guys.  Well done [member=19649]Hardy de Kock[/member] and crew. Well done to all the competitors, or should i rather say Adventurers ..

This is a very special and unique event.  Something which deserves more accolades imho.  When something evoke such emotion, you know its real.

Btw, who took the pics? There are some real gems.

Very well done. Inspirational stuff :thumleft:
