How does the new 1290 compare to the old 990 on technical sections? anyone who owned both?

I don’t speak from experience, but on our Zim trip the 1290s struggled quite a bit more than the 990s in the rough stuff.

Having said that, there were some very talented riders on 1290 at KTM Rally that did very well on the big beasts
