3 Countries and 3 Provinces to finish off the year’s riding……

Didn’t take much to convince @Just Blip It! that we deserve one last epic ride in 2024……

I head off to the coast for a family holiday, come back in time for a family Christmas in the Lowveld and early morning on Boxing Day I meet up with Mark to start our trip.

We are on our trusty 990s for the trip

DAY 1

Mark has prepared a fantastic route for our trip and we start the day with some dirt roads towards the R38 connecting Barberton with Badplaas just before Nelshoogte. In Badplaas we hit the dirt again and head for Chrissiesmeer.

First stop at the top of the climb. Beautiful views!

Lakes in the area are full and lots of standing water on the roads.

We pass John, a fellow rider from Nelspruit on his way back from Wakkerstroom and stop for a chat.

Landscape is breathtakingly beautiful and as usual Mark ends up having to stop to allow me to use him as my subject for photography

We reach Memel mid afternoon and head to the church for the obligatory photo…

DAY 2

We drag ourselves out of bed after a horrible night with locals partying in town and making noise throughout the night.

We head out towards Normandien Pass after a quick brêkkie
