My 2004 Dakar is complete and she is looking very sexy.
Let's take it step by step.
I bought the bike through Gumtree last year at a very reasonable price and spent quite a bit of fixing it up to original condition. I had to put on new mirrors, headlight shroud, Dakar brake lever, New clutch lever, original indicators and fix up the paint job.
But 18months later, and I couldn't sell this little bike, which has this way of growing on you. So I decided to bling her a little, and I loved Michnus' thread about his conversions on his Dakar. So I followed suit. With the help of Michnus to get the stickers, and The_Wes who did some custom designing for me...... a new era started for my little commuter.
Here is the original bike as I bought her.
