our BMW X1 has the 7-pin SABS type towing plug, and I sometime use this vehicle to tow our Venter-type trailer...
(I guess the X1 is ASSEMBLED in SA (?), thus the 7-pin SABS plug?)
the Flying Brick bus (is the T5 assembled in Europe?) has a new-fangled 13-pin Jaeger (?) towing plug...
last week I needed to tow the Venter trailer, but the plug types were not compatible (see pics)!
So, WHAT to do?
1. does an ADAPTER even exist between the two plug types?
2. if not, then it would be WAY easier for me to swage on a SECOND plug into the wiring loom of the trailer, so BOTH vehicles can tow the SAME trailer...
Would not like to mess with either vehicles wiring, far easier on the trailer, methinks, or do I have it wrong?
thanks, Chris
