My dilemma:
I want to own a 990 for a while before I am too old ..but, I already have a few offroads and the HP2 in the garage.
I sold the XR650R now , with the motivation to wife I need something more road going, better brakes, flickers that actually work, etc..basically a safer onroad bike for commuting and gravel touring ..
A very good friend will sell me his 990 with 30 000k on ODO. I want to offer less than R60k and I think he will sell it for that price. Bike is very neat and basically in storage and not in use.
I read the engine was made smoother (and more powerfull) over the years.
My question - Is the older, standard 990 Adventure still "worthwhile at this price? Is there still buyers for these bikes out there while everybody is looking for the S or R and newer?
Alternative is to wait until my boys are on there own, sell the offroads and buy a R or S at twice the price...but my clock is ticking...
