I found a dam, it wasn't full.
Then I I found a wee job, stuck in my tyre.
I summoned help, bead was tighter than a divorce lawyer.
I got help from a Gavin and a dankie Jan.

So a braai was scheduled for Cocky's arrival

He called about a papwiel.

No problem. We took bead tools compressor and stuff and went over the Swartberg pass to go help

After all it is only 52km to where he was stranded.

Got the bead of and then Cocky's 'new' tube held no air.

Decision time. Ride back and fix the wheel or ride back and get a trailer

We went for the trailer. Back over the pass. By now it was dark.

Back to him over the pass.

Martina het intussen gebraai. She always does that.

Loaded the bike and back to Prince Albert at a very slow pace.

We got home at 01:30 in the morning. Screw any curfews.

My girl was sleeping already. Food was cooked.

We ate while half asleep. Had some drinks and tipped

Next day. Patched the tubes (old and new).

Lesson. Check your spare tubes regularly. It had a half cm tear from chafing against the crash bar bag over a long time.

En daar gaan Cocky.

Thanks it was lekker to see you.

[member=1039]ratrap[/member] .Thanks for the use of your trailer and the help with the wheel, Gavin.

A simple braai sometimes turns into something completely different.
A tip for your spare tube.
Cover it with lots of talcum powder, pack it back in the original box and wrap the box with loads of masking tape so it does not leak out.
It will stop a lot of the chaffing and give it a longer life.[emoji16]

Tell that to Cocky. It might save me from having to do this again
