Adventure 990 s v Adventure 990.

Can anyone tell me the real world difference between the normal and s model.Yeah, I know it's got 55mm more travel, clearance and seat height.But,For a normal(fairly rustige pilot with a short pillion) is going to the s worth the effort(and financial loss) at all?
