Adventure or MX boots ??

I am sure this topic has been raised before but I can't track anything recent.
What is best for dirt road touring ?? I would also like to be able to walk around in the boots when camping and not have to carry 'comfortable' boots as well.
Would also like to get good ankle protection as I ride a GS1150 and when it falls it 'FALLS !!
